Our History
Several years ago, a group of Hingham High School students with a passion for the environment decided to form a club that would promote environmental awareness throughout Hingham High and the community as a whole. The committee has grown significantly over the years and is comprised of teachers, students, and members of the community all working toward the same goal of encouraging green decisions.
Our Mission
The HHS Green Team strives to make both HHS and the surrounding community a more environmentally friendly atmosphere. We focus on organizing recycling promotions within the school, participating in environmentally friendly political action causes, planning school events to promote green awareness, and maintaining the school's gardens and compost system to achieve this goal.
Meetings
Every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:15 AM in room 103. New members are always welcome!
Contact
To communicate with members, officers typically use the Green Team Facebook Group. There, members can receive updates about meetings and sign-up to help with events and projects.
Officers
The Green Team has developed a system of officers to help carry out the mission of the club, but we still rely on the participation of all club members.
